Website review - Sentuhan Bayu

I stumbled upon this particular website selling Cloth Diaper. Sentuhan Bayu

sentuhanbayu.biz

Well, what's so special about this website right? There are so many websites which are selling Cloth Diaper too.
The most special thing about this web store is that they RENT out Cloth Diaper. Yes, RENT OUT for 90 days.

Their approach are quite good because by renting out, parent (well most of them are mummies) can see, feel, touch and TRY it before making a bulk purchase on the cloth diapers. They are not cheap especially when you need to buy like 10 - 20 sets that will last for 2 days (depends on how often you do your laundry)

Anyway, it also depends on which brand / outlook (some have panther patches, zebra strips, strawberry shortcakes...yes, very intriguing) / material and inserts that you want. As for me, I'm using Coolababy. I think by far, this is the cheapest brand that served it purpose very well. So far, I'm very happy with its performance.

I'm glad that I actually found it. Yes, hallelujah!!  Thank God.

That time when I decided to move back to kl after my confinement in my hometown, I begin to worry about Caleb's diaper. As he grow older, his pee pee amount became mountain high. I cannot afford disposable diapers all the time and  he might develop rashes on him bum bum if he wrapped in disposable diaper for too long. And if I'm using the olden folded cloth and fastened with diaper pins, I will die in just washing tonnes and tonnes of it everyday. Sei...I'm alone taking care of Caleb, how can do so many thing. So, this cloth diaper comes in rescue!

I'm glad...really glad. It can hold pee for 2-3h long Washing them is like a breeze and didn't take alot of space in drying. I stayed in 900sf apartment with no balcony for hanging by the way.

Ok, back to Sentuhan Bayu....

Other than renting out Cloth Diaper, they also carry quite a number of brands like Autumnz, BumGenuis, Envibum, Happy Heinys and Malaysian made Bayu Diapers. Currently they are having RM10 off each diapers includes including all lovely prints diapers.

Happy Heinys - Cow Hide
( I fell in love with this prints almost immediately)

Anyway, I'd strongly encourage Cloth Diapering due to it is cheaper compare to disposable diapers (in the long run), it also healthier for your baby and better for the environment.
Just read this makes my heart sank:
According to the Sustainability Institute eighty percent of the diaperings in this nation are done with disposables. That comes to 18 BILLION diapers a year, just in the US. They require thousands of tons of plastic and hundreds of thousands of trees to manufacture. After a few hours of active service these materials are trucked away, primarily to landfills, where they sit, neatly wrapped packages of excrement, entombed or mummified, undegraded for several hundred years. The idea of a "disposable" diaper is a myth, the ramifications of which will stay with us for centuries to come. They are the 3rd largest single product in the waste stream behind newspapers and beverage containers. The urine and feces in disposable diapers enter landfills untreated, possibly contaminating the ground water supply. When you consider the unnecessary depletion of our valuable forests, the huge volume of garbage created, the toxic air and water pollution and the potential health risks to children, it is very difficult to comprehend how washing and reusing cloth diapers could ever be considered an inconvenience. They are a rewarding investment all around. A financial investment, an investment in our children’s health, and an investment in our planet.

Rent and try it out yourself.

Anyway, if you are rather concern about used diapers, you can opt for putting a reusable or disposable liner on top. If you are really squeamish, then this might not for you. I'd suggest that you buy 2 or 3 set of cloth diaper to try it out.

But I'm sure that you wouldn't regret it! Me myself love it to bits! Never try never know ma, right?
