Belated Father's Day

This post is wayyyy back on Father's day.

I bought a voucher from Groupon site for 3-day children's holiday programme consists of art and craft, cooking and Dance class at only RM69.

Mmmm...3 classes for RM69 seem worth it, right? The only downside is we have to drive all the way from Puchong to Mutiara Damansara to attend it. That is, I don't know, like 25km away?

Anyway, I called them up and booked a slot for Caleb on the father's day weekend. I asked if I can book 2 slots in a day and surprisingly they said ok because in their terms and conditions, it stated they only allowed 1 class/day. Pheww.....save time and petrol on that.

So, Caleb attended dance and art class. I didn't take any pictures on the dance class because apparently Caleb was too shy (can you believe it? he's shy wor) to join in with all the kids dancing. He just cling with me on the floor watching them dancing. Great, there goes my RM23.....

The next class is art and craft class. I went in with him and he's ok sitting on the chair and listen to instructions. I let him settle down and left him after a few minutes told him that I'll be outside should he need to see my face me.

Hi baby, mami is here! Took this picture just outside the room in the waiting area.

Good, he is concentrating. Luckily he didn't jumping up and down or going haywire like that.

The theme that day was 'A gift for father's day', so this is it. The end product..... beautifully wrapped up in fishy warping paper.

It is actually a book. Cute huh.... shirt with buttons and necktie.

Probably next year (MAY!) I'd get him going for another round of art and craft class :)

the day Caleb @ Tesco and Sushi King

Yesterday, I took Caleb out for grocery shopping in Tesco. For the past 2 months, my outing with Caleb becoming more frequent. I'm more confident in bring him out all by myself too. Ya, he can listen to the instructions and threats very well now. He knows that if he misbehave, he got 'a friend' - aka ROTAN aka CANE he is going to meet when he reached home.

I'm glad that he found sitting on the trolley is a fun thing to do and he'd quietly sit in there.

As we were browsing through rack of stuffs, suddenly Caleb whispered: "Mami, shh shh..." I asked him to say it one more time and yes, he repeated again "Shh, shh..." Oh.My.God.

I told him to hold his pee while I ran over to cooking oil station and grabbed a bottle, put in the trolley and dashed out to an empty counter to pay. All these while I constantly asked him to hold it, hold it. Dont shh, shh on the trolley, ok?

We finally made it to the toilet on ground floor safely. Phheewwwww........ I can't imagine if he really peed on the trolley and on the floor. *shiver*

So, both of us had Sushi King for lunch, yum yum. Caleb likes japanese food very much, luckily. Now I have a companion if I craved for sushi or ramen. Haha. Oh, and we can forget the father in this case.

While waiting for our bento set to arrive, I took a plate of Edamame for him.

He loves it so much and let me have a peek inside. :)

I ordered this bento for both of us. Caleb whacked most of the rice and salmon and some pieces of fried chicken. He gave me two thumbs up for this.

Concentrating on using chopstick.

This is his smiley face when I asked him to show me one.

At last, gave up on using chopstick. Use hand better la... haha

Another indoor playground for Caleb

About one month ago, out of the blue, somehow I dont know why, I took the challenge to bring Caleb out to shopping mall all by myself.  Never once I've thought of bringing him to any shopping mall without the father but somehow that day, I did. And I'm glad I did because we found something there.

REKA ZONE - an indoor playground.

Still remember the first indoor playground we brought him to Megakidz in Midvalley? He really went head over heels there until didn't want to go back. But it's normal la right? Suddenly got so many things to play with, big place to run around. The only problem is it's too far from my staying place and it's quite pricey also la.

So, I went in to check out the price. Surprisingly the entrance fee is quite cheap. For non member it's only RM15 and if you're a member, it's only RM10 (on weekdays) for kids at age 2 - 12 years old.

Ho ho ho...I became their member on the spot. Paid all the necessaries like member's fee, entrance fee and bought 2 pair of socks - one for both of us :)
Peek-a-boo!

Nevertheless, Caleb was having a helluva fun there and the good thing, it doesn't burn a hole in my wallet :) For this month, they are having another 10% discount for the members. So, the entrance fee is only RM9 for unlimited fun time.

Basically he went gaa-gaa-goo over all those colorful balls. Oh, my son loves BALLS very much.

The orange machine is for them to feed lots and lots of balls inside, press a button attached and all those balls flying out from the hose and creating 'rain of balls' effect.

Caleb was going 'high' when he saw all these!

Going through wavy-netted tunnel....and weeeeee....down the slide.

Air Bouncer - not Caleb's favourite thou. He hardly went inside there and bounce but he bounced like mad on bed at home. Wonder why...

Reka Zone Aviation Play System. Just a small one if compared with Megakidz in Midvalley. But it's already sufficient to accommodate a toddler  (like Caleb's age). It is safe and not so high. Caleb could climb up without my help and me watching him from below. Telling him numerous time to be careful.

 Rock climbing? Nahhh....

Slide? Yesssss..... He can play this over and over and over again.

Ok, time to go into the house. This is Caleb's house :)

This is the way we wash out hand, wash our hand, wash our hand...

So now, I'm bring him to this playground once a week, more like a routine. If he behave well, maybe twice a week. But the most important thing is the mother hor, also bored at home too la. Sometimes we need to take a breath outside.

Penang - Day 2 @ Straits Quay

Day 2 in Penang....

Caleb woke up at 7:30am just right after sunlight shinning through the window curtain. Arrgghhhh......he was trying to peer my eyes open. Well, it makes sense la, being in other place there must be a lot of things to explore. Better wake up early.... :)

We had a simply breakfast and lunch at home. After Caleb's 2 hour nap, we went to Strait Quay for dinner.

A brand new iconic landmark in Penang.

Can you spot "Straits Quay"?

Walking through the foyer. Some booths set up selling Christmas ornaments, house-deco, household thingy, forks, plates, spoons, bowls...you got the idea.

Spotted a HUGE Christmas Tree at the entrance.

Since we came here on one of the weekday, it was empty. Caleb can run around like wild goose without me chasing after him. I can just sit on the bench watching him without the worries of him knocking into somebody else or somebody else knocking into him.

Empty. Not a soul....

The wild running goose....yeeee haaaaa!!

And then he found something. Oh great, a fountain......

mmmm...what should I do with it?

He looked at me with this weird smile and I said "No, you cannot swim-swim in there, ok?" He is soooo addicted to pile or pool filled with water now ever since he had his first dip in A'Famosa last Dec.

And he coming up with this stunt........

Ready....

Steady....

GO!!!.....

Look...it's a bird, no, it's a plane..., no, IT'S SUPERBABY..... Hahahaha.....

and he can go on and on and on.....until we need to drag him away. But then he sweet-talked my aunt to go there again. This baby really don't give up easily....

"Ee poh...come come, go there again, ok?"

Finally we succeed in luring him away when we said we will bring him to see boats.

He was stunned for a moment after seeing so many boats around.

"wahhh....so many boats"

"Mami, mami...tai boat (see boat)"

Caleb getting haywire and running like a wild goose again

After a few rounds of climbing up and down the stairs and running here and there, finally he sat down. Battery 'RECHARGING'....

Oh wait...I need to recharge.

Oh stones...fascinating uhhhh.....

Tonight's dinner @ Ding BBQ and Steamboat Restaurant. After heard my cousin raving about it so much, finally I got chance to taste it.

Displaying all their ingredients on a kaiser belt.

My cousin done most of the grilling and cooking part as she said she is already an expert :) I just need to entertain my 'boss' and eat....

Oh thank you very much. I gladly obliged. :)

While waiting for food to cook, as usual Caleb will request to play with 'bear-bear', one of his favourite apps in my IPhone.

After a full dinner, we walked around on the side walk and trying to speed up our digestion.

The night view is simply amazing and breathtaking. I was admiring the view until Caleb came to me tugging my hand. Yes, he wants to go playing with bloody stairs again.... Sigh....

The Loo's family trip to A'Famosa

Just came back from The Loo's family trip in Malacca A'Famosa Resort. There were 6 adults and 3 children, so we booked a 3 rooms villa with kitchen and attached private swimming pool. Hee hee.....the kids were ecstatic and so did the adults. :)
The kids, of course were having lots of fun. Especially this little cow of mine because got 2 che ches to play with lar....

1st day: We reached there around 1:30pm and after we checked in, fed the kids, it was almost 3pm. Adults were hungry, so we went to search for food. Had a very nice curry mee at an old style kopitiam. Not sure if we were too hungry or it was really nice. Haha....

Then we went back to our villa and getting ready for POOL TIME!

Pumping up all the floats. Check out Caleb's swimming suit. *hik hik*

Testing drive my car first, vroom vroom....

Ready or not, I'm coming....eh? miii....something coming out from my ahem... lar

Come, carry carry....

I want to go there...there...

Oh, rubber duckie...

After playing in pool for around 1 hour, everybody was darn tired. We took another 20 minutes to drag persuade Caleb out from the pool. This guy ar....aiyo....headache. He kept on screaming on top of his voice he want to stay inside the pool. Keep on saying "last one? , last one? , last one?"

Last one and last one and last one until I couldn't take it anymore, I just scooped him up straight away went in and of course he turned into unspeakable monster. Still crying when I bathed him...... *_*

For dinner, we had steamboat. :)
Easy, yummy and economy. We bought so much food that it can feed the whole army.

Meat balls, lobster balls, fishball with crabsticks, dumplings... so little right?
Try imagine x5, that much!

Oyster mushrooms, golden needle mushroom (issit correct?) and the greens
This one also x5...

Jk's favourite fu chuk (fried bean curd)

At the end, we couldn't finish and tapau-ed back home the leftover.
Total: RM100
Cheap right? Haha...

2nd day: I didnt have a good night sleep, probably because I didnt sleep in my own bed with my own stinky pillows and blanket. Lols....

Our villa booking included 6 complimentary breakfast. Any addition (including the kids), we need to pay RM12++, no free breakfast or half price for kids. And since the breakfast so darn expensive, we went and check it out..

At first I thought it was buffet breakfast but no..... it all came in set.

You have a choice to choose either "Nasi Lemak"

or "Western Breakfast" with 2 sausages, 2 slices of bread, 2 eggs, a pinch of salad *sigh* and a bowl of baked bean.

Overall, breakfast sucks! Nasi lemak was horrible, stale taste from the rendang chicken. Yucks..... so, I thought luckily I didnt order that. I went with the western set. I mean nothing can go wrong with sausages and eggs and breads right? Just fried the eggs and sausages only ma right? WRONG!

When it came to me, wow....what happen to my sausage? It looks like 2 badly mutated sausages. Eggs were hard and the breads were dry. Kaneh.....and this set was priced at RM12++?!?! o.O

Itinerary for today is to visit Water World. Admission rate for adult is RM35 and kid is RM30 inclusive one lunch set. Kids under 3ft is FOC. Haha...and Caleb and another niece of mine went in for free.

I didn't bring my camera/phone inside so no pictures to show here. Such a waste....Caleb was having crazy time there. He played with water slide over and over and over again. The first few times, we went down with him but after a while he wanted to go down the slide by himself. Hahaha.....due to off balance, he falls and knocked the back of his head a few times. Crazy mom, I can still laugh at him..... His head made of steel, didnt feel any pain at all and went up again and again. ^.^

After spending 2 hours in the water world, everybody was drop, dead, tired again. Went back to our villa, bathed and getting ready to nap, recharge our battery.

Grumpy face, just woke up from nap. Actually we nudge him to wake up :)

We went to Tampin town for dinner, Restaurant Jih Hong. We didnt know which makan shop to go but we go by the rule of thumb. See which one have the most patrons....haha....genius right?

A view inside the restaurant.

This is the Kung Pou Squid and omelette for the kids, the only decent picture I took. Why? Because we have 6 hungry adults and 3 hungry children. Basically we just pawned on the food as soon as it arrived. no chance for photo-shoot ler...

We went to Cowboy Town after dinner around 8pm. Walked walked abit but really nothing to see. So, we just waited for the time to watch Red Indian Show and Animal Musical Parade Show.

Carnival show time board

Caleb on antique car.

This is picture really a treasure. I think over 20 pictures we took with Caleb, this the only one he look at the camera. Others he just shut the eyes, look left, look right or look down. Sigh... anywhere except the camera.
Caleb with mami while waiting for the show to start.

3rd day: Our last day in A'Famosa Resort. After breakfast, we checked out and headed to Malacca.
Had a quick lunch at Nancy's Kitchen. Jk's brother and his wife really fancy this place and it happen to be the most popular place among Singaporean. But the food just taste average.

As it really crowded on the ground floor, we straight headed upstairs.
Getting ready for porridge time

Children below 10 are eating home cooked porridge.

"Caleb, nice?"

Again, I managed to take 2 pictures out of 7 dishes we had. I think if I got another 2 hands, I can take more picture... :D
Pai Tee... not bad

Babi Pongteh

Jk's brother did most of the ordering as I was really busy because Caleb pooped. Aiyoyo..... He was squirming and told me "she she" but I thought maybe he just pulling my leg. Mana tau this guy really pooped and stained his pant.

I quickly zoomed him into the toilet and after I opened up his diaper, he straight away pooped on the floor and sprayed everywhere. Aiyerrrr.......*I hope no one was eating when reading this* hahaha

I almost fainted ~.~

Luckily my mom in law with me so she was like kau tim everything for me. Phewwww.......

After lunch, we walked around jonker street before headed back to KL and Jk's brother back to Singapore.
