Caleb first day @ preschool

It's been a week since Caleb started his preschool and he loves it a lot.

We got him registered early this March but only started attending it this month. Why? I was thinking we might just need to prepare him for the 'BIG MILESTONE' in his life. I can't believe my baby is attending school. Oh......

We paid the up front fees when we got him registered. Kiasu ma.... as they said they have a limited place for each age category. What I like about this preschool they are using Montessori approach which I find to be very different from the normal conventional teaching method. In Montessori, they are based on hands on learning, collaborative play and self directed activity. Each material are created to support some aspect of a child's development so that they can learn through their own experience and own pace.

There are other reasons which did trigger me to enroll him:

1. Distance: it's only less than 2 minutes drive from home.

2. Max ratio 1 teacher:10 students. That's mean new student can have full attention from the teacher.

3. They provide 1 breakfast everyday at 10am. All meals are home cook food like home made kaya, cake, fried mee hoon without hot dogs and nuggets, home boiled barley water. All these are so healthy.

For the past 3 months, I've been chanting to his ear that he will be in school without mami and dadi. And he will have a lot of friends to play with and a lot of toys which he never seen before. School will have teachers to teach him songs and ABC and 123 which he likes most and mami will have to go home, cooking, bla bla bla and after that mami will come and fetch him and we all go home eat 'fan-fan' - rice. (Hooray! trying to make it as interesting as possible :))

These daily chanting really works because the first day he went to school, he was pretty excited. He jumped up from bed almost immediately at 7:30am when I mentioned "SCHOOL". Haha...

I just need to linger around for 45 minutes just to make sure he's ok, settling down before I bid him bye-bye. he didn't even look at me, hurried up his 'be-bye' and said yes when I told him I'm going back. Pheewwww......

Can't wait to take off shoes and go in.

Everybody drink water....

Another thing I like about this school is the teachers make them drink water as frequent as possible. Most of the time, Caleb tumbler left with 1/3 of water when he came back. :)

He took the mat ....

and begin to pay with 'toys'

And when I went to pick him up, he didn't want to go home! Ish, ish, ish.... The teacher-in-charge said after I went home, he didn't even mention where is his mami or dadi and ma ma.....

Hahaha.....I hope that his enthusiasm of going school do lasts for as long as it can be :)

So, it's been a while....

I know I know...it's been ages since I update my blog and it filled with spider webs and dust now. Haha...Ok, time to do some 'house-cleaning' :)

Well, the first announcement that I'm gonna make is...I am baking my 2nd bun in the oven :)

Yea, I'm pregnant and I've just past the 1st trimester. I am now in 13 weeks pregnant within the 2nd trimester. Baby is now almost 7.4cm long from crown to rump and weighs about 23 grams. How do I know that so accurately? Haha....because I've downloaded a pregnancy tracker apps in my IPhone as I forget things easily now. Sayyy...did I pop my folic acid and multivitamin today? I can't remember....

The first trimester was not easy with this 2nd pregnancy. I had almost every symptoms a pregnant lady should have. This is so different from my 1st one. Nausea, bloatedness, heartburn, vomit, constipate, tiredness that turned me into a lazy whale all day long. Sighhh....

I gagged all day and throwing up almost everything I ate in every single meal. It is no fun at all when you need to hung your face over a toilet bowl 5-6 times a day. Sien~~ There was once Caleb followed me to the bathroom room and when he saw me puked in the toilet bowl, he asked "Mami, what are you doing here?" I replied "Mami vomit" and he exclaimed "wahhhhh" when he saw things coming out from my mouth. Hey, it looks fun. I wanna vomit too. *faint*,*faint*,*faint*

This pregnancy is so different. Really different. I can't stand the smell of fish which explained why Caleb seldom had his fish porridge. I am feeling guilty to that as I know he need his DHA and Omega-3 fatty acids supply. I made it up by feeding him Scott's Cod Fish Liver Oil and I'm trying to feed it to him everyday if I remember which coming to the first statement I made: I forget things easily now.... Sigh...
I can't face the laptop too long, scrolling pages too fast makes me gagged. Even the sight of people makes me gagged too. Hahaha.....this is serious. I told jk that I vomited less when I went back to my mom's place for a week and on the day I came back, I puked 3 times in a day. So, it's true right that the sight of certain people can caused me feeling nausea, i.e jk (hee hee)

Ever since I found myself started baking 2nd bun, Caleb been acting super clingy, throwing super tantrum when things doesn't go his way and been crying a lot. I don't know what exactly happening to him.  My mom said he's sensing something amiss. Probably someone going to overtake his priority at home. I don't know, Maybe she's right :)

So, that is what been keeping me from blogging recently. Now that I've feeling so much better, I'll try blog more often. Fingers crossed......
