When he knows he's in trouble....

Just when I was about to put Caleb for a nap just now, as usual, he was jumping up and down on the bed. Despite on numerous time I told him not to jump, he still....sigh.... I think he must be trying to deflate his battery once and for all before recharging again.

So this guy was jumping up and down and me sitting on the bed telling him not to. Without any warning, his head smack me hard on my face. Aiyooooo.......Immediately I was cupping my head and wailed in pain. Caleb looked at me and smile. Chis...can smile somemore.

I was still cupping my head (where it hurts) and I said "Pain-pain, pain-pain, mami pain-pain" and put on a 'sad and very cham face'. He, still lying on the bed, said "I love you mi-mi, I am sorry"....

Walau....my heart melted straight away....

Then I said "Come and kiss-kiss mami...." and he came. Muaks! Muaks!..... 2 times.

*Lum until die*

And then he pat me on the head slowly and said "sayang-sayang"

*Lum until die 2nd time*

When he knows he's in trouble............

Where's Caleb?

The other day Jk came out from the room and at one glance he didnt see Caleb anywhere.

He asked me: "Hey, where's my boss?"

I replied: "There......." (looking at Caleb's direction, without pointing because my hands were on the keyboard)

He looked and asked again: "Where?"

I replied: "There la, on the chair, playing with my phone"

He looked closely again: "Ohhhhhh........I thought nobody's there"

Hahahaha.........

You know why? Here's why...

Because everything from head to toes is in white color.... Hahahaha...

So serious....concentrate, concentrate, concentrate....

And no, I didnt put the box on his head. He likes it this way......why? Beats me....

Our day full of surprises from my little cow ;)

Every cloud has a silver lining....

It is raining season now.

This is what happen out there. I took these pictures from my balcony.

The sky looking so gloomy. Dark clouds hovering over and it's only 3:30pm.

Are you feeling sleepy now? How nice if you can just wrapped up yourself in your comforter, make a hot chocolate or coffee, have a piece of cake or scone with strawberry jam and watch tv. Or better still, sleep. :)

I love this picture and the first thing comes in my mind: Every cloud has a silver lining....

Are you agree with me?

Butter Loaf with Raisins and Walnuts

Caleb and I are bread person. We love bread very much. Sometimes when I didnt know what to eat for lunch or dinner, I'd just fried an egg, sandwiched it between 2 slices of bread, some soy sauce, pepper and chili sauce and voila, that's my meal. Very nice.....

Since we consumed alot of bread most time, I try to do it at home. Well, for the first few times, the breads turned out to be a 'rock' instead. Throw dog also they'll die one....haha

I stumbled upon this recipe from wendyinkk. Wow...she's really good! Most of her recipe that I've tried, turned out very good. Ahem...plus my cooking culinary experiences too lar... :)

Recipe: Split Top Buter Loaf Recipe (copied from wendyinkk)

Bread loaf
320 gm Bread flour
66 gmWhipping cream
162 gm milk
33 gm honey
16 gm butter
3 gm yeast
4 gm salt
30gm egg

Topping:
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp coarse sugar (I used brown sugar)
Raisins & and chopped walnut (I add myself......)
Egg (for brushing)

Method:
Mix everything except the butter for 15 minutes. Add in butter and knead. Wendy stated that knead until a thin membran can be formed when stretched but I can't seem to get that effect. So, I just leave it.

Cover and let it proof for an hour or until doubled.

When dough had doubled, punch down and knead. I divided it into 8 balls. Stretch each ball long and flat, roll up. Place rolled up dough into buttered loaf pan.
Let it proof until double again.

Preheat oven to 180C. When dough has doubled, make a long inch deep slit all the way through centre. Mix butter and brown sugar and spoon into the slit. Trying to push them down a bit. Sprinkled raisins and chopped walnut along the way. Brush egg on dough on top.

Bake at 180C for 10 minutes and 160C for 25 minutes.

And it turned out to be a beautiful bread loaf.

Sliced it up...

It was sooooo soft. Dog wont die this time. Can do massage this time ;) *hik hik*

All swipe clean in 2 days time. I'm so gonna bake this again....

The Loo's family trip to A'Famosa

Just came back from The Loo's family trip in Malacca A'Famosa Resort. There were 6 adults and 3 children, so we booked a 3 rooms villa with kitchen and attached private swimming pool. Hee hee.....the kids were ecstatic and so did the adults. :)
The kids, of course were having lots of fun. Especially this little cow of mine because got 2 che ches to play with lar....

1st day: We reached there around 1:30pm and after we checked in, fed the kids, it was almost 3pm. Adults were hungry, so we went to search for food. Had a very nice curry mee at an old style kopitiam. Not sure if we were too hungry or it was really nice. Haha....

Then we went back to our villa and getting ready for POOL TIME!

Pumping up all the floats. Check out Caleb's swimming suit. *hik hik*

Testing drive my car first, vroom vroom....

Ready or not, I'm coming....eh? miii....something coming out from my ahem... lar

Come, carry carry....

I want to go there...there...

Oh, rubber duckie...

After playing in pool for around 1 hour, everybody was darn tired. We took another 20 minutes to drag persuade Caleb out from the pool. This guy ar....aiyo....headache. He kept on screaming on top of his voice he want to stay inside the pool. Keep on saying "last one? , last one? , last one?"

Last one and last one and last one until I couldn't take it anymore, I just scooped him up straight away went in and of course he turned into unspeakable monster. Still crying when I bathed him...... *_*

For dinner, we had steamboat. :)
Easy, yummy and economy. We bought so much food that it can feed the whole army.

Meat balls, lobster balls, fishball with crabsticks, dumplings... so little right?
Try imagine x5, that much!

Oyster mushrooms, golden needle mushroom (issit correct?) and the greens
This one also x5...

Jk's favourite fu chuk (fried bean curd)

At the end, we couldn't finish and tapau-ed back home the leftover.
Total: RM100
Cheap right? Haha...

2nd day: I didnt have a good night sleep, probably because I didnt sleep in my own bed with my own stinky pillows and blanket. Lols....

Our villa booking included 6 complimentary breakfast. Any addition (including the kids), we need to pay RM12++, no free breakfast or half price for kids. And since the breakfast so darn expensive, we went and check it out..

At first I thought it was buffet breakfast but no..... it all came in set.

You have a choice to choose either "Nasi Lemak"

or "Western Breakfast" with 2 sausages, 2 slices of bread, 2 eggs, a pinch of salad *sigh* and a bowl of baked bean.

Overall, breakfast sucks! Nasi lemak was horrible, stale taste from the rendang chicken. Yucks..... so, I thought luckily I didnt order that. I went with the western set. I mean nothing can go wrong with sausages and eggs and breads right? Just fried the eggs and sausages only ma right? WRONG!

When it came to me, wow....what happen to my sausage? It looks like 2 badly mutated sausages. Eggs were hard and the breads were dry. Kaneh.....and this set was priced at RM12++?!?! o.O

Itinerary for today is to visit Water World. Admission rate for adult is RM35 and kid is RM30 inclusive one lunch set. Kids under 3ft is FOC. Haha...and Caleb and another niece of mine went in for free.

I didn't bring my camera/phone inside so no pictures to show here. Such a waste....Caleb was having crazy time there. He played with water slide over and over and over again. The first few times, we went down with him but after a while he wanted to go down the slide by himself. Hahaha.....due to off balance, he falls and knocked the back of his head a few times. Crazy mom, I can still laugh at him..... His head made of steel, didnt feel any pain at all and went up again and again. ^.^

After spending 2 hours in the water world, everybody was drop, dead, tired again. Went back to our villa, bathed and getting ready to nap, recharge our battery.

Grumpy face, just woke up from nap. Actually we nudge him to wake up :)

We went to Tampin town for dinner, Restaurant Jih Hong. We didnt know which makan shop to go but we go by the rule of thumb. See which one have the most patrons....haha....genius right?

A view inside the restaurant.

This is the Kung Pou Squid and omelette for the kids, the only decent picture I took. Why? Because we have 6 hungry adults and 3 hungry children. Basically we just pawned on the food as soon as it arrived. no chance for photo-shoot ler...

We went to Cowboy Town after dinner around 8pm. Walked walked abit but really nothing to see. So, we just waited for the time to watch Red Indian Show and Animal Musical Parade Show.

Carnival show time board

Caleb on antique car.

This is picture really a treasure. I think over 20 pictures we took with Caleb, this the only one he look at the camera. Others he just shut the eyes, look left, look right or look down. Sigh... anywhere except the camera.
Caleb with mami while waiting for the show to start.

3rd day: Our last day in A'Famosa Resort. After breakfast, we checked out and headed to Malacca.
Had a quick lunch at Nancy's Kitchen. Jk's brother and his wife really fancy this place and it happen to be the most popular place among Singaporean. But the food just taste average.

As it really crowded on the ground floor, we straight headed upstairs.
Getting ready for porridge time

Children below 10 are eating home cooked porridge.

"Caleb, nice?"

Again, I managed to take 2 pictures out of 7 dishes we had. I think if I got another 2 hands, I can take more picture... :D
Pai Tee... not bad

Babi Pongteh

Jk's brother did most of the ordering as I was really busy because Caleb pooped. Aiyoyo..... He was squirming and told me "she she" but I thought maybe he just pulling my leg. Mana tau this guy really pooped and stained his pant.

I quickly zoomed him into the toilet and after I opened up his diaper, he straight away pooped on the floor and sprayed everywhere. Aiyerrrr.......*I hope no one was eating when reading this* hahaha

I almost fainted ~.~

Luckily my mom in law with me so she was like kau tim everything for me. Phewwww.......

After lunch, we walked around jonker street before headed back to KL and Jk's brother back to Singapore.

Lala Chong Seafood Restaurant @ Kampung Kayu Ara

Last weekend (or is it last 2 weekends ago?), we went to our not-so-usual place for dinner.
And that's mean Jk need to drive out from our comfort zone (which I think he hates most). No choice lar baby, your wifey need a change sometimes :)

We went to Lala Chong @ Kayu Ara Damansara. I'm sure many of you heard of this place before but many said it's overated. Foods are expensive and throat-cutting. Jk must be asking now "then why you still con me here?". Hahaha.....alot of people also said the foods is nice ma. Never try never know lor ^.^

Caleb was getting hungry. Luckily I brought some cereals and cracker with me.

Omm Omm Omm...

We ordered 5 dishes. Yes, you heard me right. 3 persons, ok lar...4 persons including Caleb ordered 5 dishes. Haha, aren't we are a bunch of hungry-glutton?

First up, pucuk paku in sambal belacan. It is some new vegetable to try on as we don't get to eat it often. Taste just so-so. Edible? yes, nice? - not really as I feel that it leaves a waxy after taste in my mouth.

This is what we are here for. Lala Chong’s signature dish is the “Siong Thong Lala” fresh clams in Chinese rice wine, garlic, ginger and cili padi. Clams were huge and FRESH without any sands. The soup were flavourful. We drank it to our last drop!

Caleb's dish. Tofu kang or tofu soup. Taste similar to sharkfin soup of course without any sharkfin. Due to animal cruelty, I stopped taking sharkfin soup. Yes, let's do our part in protecting the animals. Ok, that topic aside. This soup is so smooth with chunks of crab meat, tofu, eggs and dunno-what-else. But still, this is a very nice dish to go with rice. I know Caleb ate a bowl of rice just with this dish. Yupe, A BOWL! hahaha....body so small but whack alot.

Sweet and sour chicken. Initially we wanted to order sweet and sour pork (koo lou yuk, yum yum, my favourite) but the waiteress said sorry hor, pork free lar. So, chicken pun chicken lar. The gravy was alright but chicken chunks were over-fried. It were hard and dry. Not good :( But we still finished it. Dont waste ma...

The last dish, deep fried honey squid. It looks and sounds almost cruel because we are actually eating BABIES. Huh, talking about animal cruelty just now. Anyway........ the taste just average, gravy was alright but the squids were again, over-fried. Dry and hard. Sigh.....

I couldn't remember how much we paid at the end. I think around RM75 not more than RM80. Are we going for 2nd time visit? Mmmm....not really, except the driver is super good mood and excited. Haha...excited? about what? I dont know, maybe if I tell him I'm pregnant leh...... muahahaha :D

No, I'm not pregnant ;)
