Our virgin experience in AVOCADO

Bought 3 avocados @ RM10 last week when I went back to my hometown. Just buy, totally got no idea what to do with it.

But no worry because Mr. Google is always standing by whenever I need him :)

Mr. Google said avocado is also known as alligator pear, mmm...that's something new. We learn new thing everyday. If I didnt buy avocado I wouldn't know, right? Ok, sampat (38) I know... :D

Ok, for nutrition facts, avocado is rich in antioxidants beta carotene, vitamin C and E, potassium and monounsaturated fat which can boost immune system.

I sliced one of them this afternoon with hawking looking eyes from Caleb. He really have no idea what is this fruit all about. Haha..I know from the look of his eyes. Fascinating and curious, cute :)
Asked him: "You want?" and he nodded.

I scrapped out a little bit with spoon and feed him. Shudder a bit. Hahaha.....normal when he taste new thing. I ate a bit too. Shudder. Hahahaha...... taste nutty and buttery. Tasteless.

Asked him again: "Still want?". Nodded again.... hahaha..can't stop laughing.

Scrapped a little bit again and feed him. Shudder again! Haaaahaaaaa.....funny.

Drizzled some honey on top...taste better for both of us. :)

Anyway, I blended the rest of the avocado with some apple chunks, fresh milk and honey to taste. Amazingly it taste so much better. MUCH MUCH BETTER....

It turn into smoothies...can't say it's really yummy but okla. Can put it in my mouth la. I gave a bowl of this smoothies to Caleb and he finished it in no time. Pheww.... I safely assume that he likes it. Thank God....if not I wouldn't know what to do with the rest of the avocados. I still have 2 of them in fridge now.

Smoothies goes into my freezer, just for Caleb consumption.... :)

That's how our first experience eating Avocado *shudder* haha

Parenting: #1 - Action and Consequence

"You are one crazy mom"
Well, that is what Jk always said to me. Haha....

I did crazy stuffs with Caleb. I teach him what is cold, what is hot and what is spicy by practical.... haha. By practical means I let him feel what is hot by letting him eat hot porridge or hot soup. And spicy by let him taste nasi lemak's sambal. You should see his face twisting here and there. :) Before you pick up the phone to call 'talian dera kanak kanak', let me explain. Hahaha....

This is the most fastest, easiest and effective way to let him know the feeling of cold, hot and spicy. One time, twice and the third time, he didnt wail or scream his lung off whenever I told him: 'wait, the soup/porridge is still hot'.

Now, he'd automatically blow and blow and blow the foods when I told him it's hot. Sometimes he'd ask me to help him blow so that it cooled down quickly. :)

He knows how to duck his head whenever he want to pick up his toys underneath the table and remained in this posture before he got himself out from it. Hahaha.... Lesson learned. Resulting in knocking his head too many times.

I always agree that kids need to learn in a hard way or at least let them understand the consequences. Plainly explaining is not enough especially with my 'hard-headed' son. He just wouldn't listen... Grrrr....

When everything doesnt seem to work, 'rotan' comes to the rescue :)

Mami make bread for me

Mami made breads for me few days ago. Well, that' what she said to me when I went inside the kitchen to peek at her and asked her to come 'cho cho' and play with me.

Mami said "Caleb, please go outside, mami make bread for you ok?"

I stood there for awhile.....thinking...mmmm....why?

Because I found it hard to believe. You know why? Whenever mami or dadi went out 'gai gai' and didnt allow me to tag along, they'll asked me to stay at home and will buy bread for me when they come back. But sepuluh kali, sepuluh kali I also didnt see any bread .................. Hmmmpph! :(

Chish!

But this time I saw some buns lying on the kitchen counter after I woke up from my nap. Smell so GOOD!

Pillow soft bread....

Mami said it's her first success in making bread compare to (ahem...) previously where the bun was as hard as rock... Well, practice makes perfect! Keep going mami....... and I can have bread everyday for my breakfast, lunch and dinner because I love so so much. But mami said cannot eat too much, later become 'fatt sui mein pau' - body swell like bread soak in water. Haha

Mami put cheese inside...... just for me because I love cheese very very much!

Ohh, I cannot wait to dig in....Mami, can I have one? Please...

Mami's greatest supporter (*wink)

Last night when I tucked Caleb in at bedtime:

Me: You want mami to sing for you?

Caleb: Uh Uh (means yes)

Me: Yes?

Caleb: Zesh (his own word of 'yes')

Me: What song you want mami to sing?

Caleb: A B C, A B C

Me: Ok, ABCDEFG....la la la la now you know your ABC, next time wont you sing with me..... Yeah, finish.
What song to sing again? Eensy weensy spider?

Caleb: noooo.... (this fler choosing songs one, mai siau siau)

Me: Then? Edelweiss?

Caleb: Uh Uh

Me: Bla la la la...Yeah, finish. Another song?

Caleb: (press my nose and he said 'teett') A,B,C A,B,C
(like a player asked my to repeat song... hahaha)

Me: Aiyo...mami radio ka? Hahaha...okok. ABCDEF...la la la....

How to say no when he request a song by 'teetting' my nose?

Hahahaha.....that's my son :)

Raya holiday

Just came back from my hometown yesterday after we spent one week raya holiday there. Raya holiday...yes, we celebrate too :)

But holiday? Why holiday? You didnt have to work, so why holiday? Uhhh...puleez.... refer to this blog post here why I need a holiday too....

My aunt and her family came down all the way from Penang visiting us. Every Raya holiday they'll surely come. The moms cook, the dads just laze around watching tv, reading newspaper, admiring fishes..... me and my cousin chat and catching up with each other. The kids (Caleb and my nephew) bugging my cousin brother over his laptop with games.

Anyway, Caleb been having a great time. Apart from having so many people to bug play with, he got to play/splashing water at my parent's house which he dont have the chance to do so at home :) Well, got la sometimes, in the bathroom.

I took some of my dad's mineral bottles which he poked a few holes on the cap and use it as watering can. What the heck! As long as it can amused the kids, it is a good toys to play with.

First, filled it up with water.
Caleb and my nephew.

Soon, he kept on squeezing the bottle. Watching the water splurging out makes him squealed happily. My boy is a happy baby. He can laugh and laugh over little things or gestures. :) I'm happy that my baby is happy ^.^
Squeeze, squeeze, squeeze...

After a few minutes, they started squeezing water at each other. Then at me and my cousin...
Aiyooo...... that when I asked them to clean up the tyres. Haha...good trick :)
Squeeze at the tyre ok? Make sure it sparkling clean ok?

Sometimes, I asked them to water the plant instead. Yeap, that is my dad's organic spinach. Very tender, very sweet, without any chemical pesticides.
"Grow quickly ok?, I want to eat choi choi.... Mami said choi choi is nice."
My chanting works..hahaha

All his clothing got drenched. Time for pom pom aka bathing time.
Oh...wet wet already. Cold or not?

Dont want to bath yet, one more round?

Oh..sorry, what I mean is 3 more rounds?

Oh sorry, your request been denied. Come, bath!
