Caleb and his puzzle.......and me PUZZLED

I bought this set of puzzle for Caleb 3 months ago. When I first introduced to him, he got no interest at all. He just took all those puzzle pieces and scattered them around on the floor, which is normal.

Then I started to show him how to put them together.

Me: Come, mami show you. Nah, you take this one and this one then you put together and 'tuck'. See, they stay together de. Ok?

Caleb: k? (and nodded his head)

Me: Come, another one. You take this and this and this (some need 3 pieces to make out one picture) and then you 'tuck' 'tuck' 'tuck'. Ok?

Caleb: k? (and nodded his head)

And that goes on and on and on.......
After some times, he grew bored watching me 'tuck' and he want to 'tuck'  instead. Ok fine. But I need to bring them very close together and he just working on with his one finger, pressed down and 'tuck'. Oh, my boy is happy!

Next, he started to gather similar pieces together and demanded asked me to put them close together while he was still working on his 一阳指... and 'tuck' 'tuck' 'tuck' away....

Until one fine day (last month), he started showing some progress. He can put those pieces together on his own. Oh boy, am I ecstatic! Finally.....but his motor skill still shaking and sometimes couldn't bring it together. There were times when he just can't click 2 puzzle pieces together and he wailed and wailed and wailed and throw everything on the floor. Yes, he can be very very bad tempered.

After a few more attempts, he successfully putting all pieces together without much hassle. And then I decided to bring it to a higher level....just want to know how far he can go... :)

I turned them upside-down :)

And I started asking him to take one by one. He can recongnise it by just looking at the back of the puzzle and he took everyone of them correctly. This boy really FREAKING me out!

Here is the video I managed to take while jk asking him one by one.

Anniversary dinner

Few days ago was our Wedding Anniversary.

And I totally forgot about it the day before.....until jk remind me.

Hahaha....no, he forgot about it too....until his friend sent an sms to his mobile phone congratulating us. :)

Caleb been driving us up-side-down most of the time until we forgot that we were actually being married for 3 years.

So, we need to go celebrate. Afterall it comes only once a year mah, right?

At first we decided to go to The Caff but as we passed by the shop, we saw 2 banners hanging printed 'TO LET pls call bla bla bla phone number'. We were like 'Oh Noooooo...., why? why?' Almost every eatery shop patronized by us went bankrupt. We begin to feel that we bring bad luck for them.... haha

Anyway, we decided to try out one eatery shop which we have not step a foot in. Mr Ho's Bistro...

It's been around for quite some time but we didnt try out mainly because everytime we want to go in, there were no one inside. You know how 'no one' means 'food's sucks!' :) But luckily we gather much courage to go in and sit down.

Wall full of funny proverbs

This girl should be the lady boss of the shop.

As usual, my cheeky cow waiting to be served

It was really funny when he saw the waiter coming with tray of foods and saying 'bak bak bak' pointing on the table. What he really mean is 'back back back' as I always tell him to put back things. So, he just manage to say the last word which is 'bak' instead of 'back' :)

 Garlic Bread for starter

The taste was bland, very bland. Bread was hard and chewy. I like my garlic bread to be crispy and highly infused with garlic or better still with garlic bits. By now, I really missed The Caff's garlic bread and their heavenly escargot in butter garlicky cream sauce.

Anyway, my boss said it's nice and he gulped down 2 pieces of garlic bread in no time.

Sauteed sausage with onion in black pepper sauce.

Not sure if they are using chicken or pork sausage but it was taste slightly hard and the black pepper overwhelm the whole dish. Nothing memorable for this dish.

My main dish. BBQ Ribs.

Nothing memorable about the ribs too. At first I thought BBQ Ribs should be little chared with smokey smell of BBQ....

Something like this?

Or like this...

But it isn't really the case here. My BBQ ribs comes in one big chunk of meat and one 'stick' of rib shape rib only. I dont like it....Nuff said.

Jk's pork burger.

Well, jk just said that it was nice with juicy pork patty. Mmm...I think that's all I can remember.

My drink vs jk's drink. Guess which is which?

Hahaha.....yes, that Estrella is mine. No prize for the correct guessing. No wonder I couldnt remember things. *hick hick*

Viva @ Singapore

Following up on our Malacca trip last year, this time me and bunch of girlfriends going down to Singapore for 3days/2nights trip. Solely GIRL's trip. So, I once again 'abandoned' both father & son...yay!

Had our early dinner at LCCT Old Town. Ordered my all time favourite Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun. Nice but it was expensive. I couldnt exactly remember the price but I think should be around RM11/bowl @o@

Our Airasia flight was on time and by 9pm we were all safely touched down in Changi Airport. SueWei - who was 8 months preggie and ShuSan - who drive a Honda Jazz (pardon me for the intro, I  afraid 10 years down the road I couldnt remember who is who :D) came and picked us up and straight away we went for supper. Chit-chatted like there is no tomorrow  and 7 of us shared 40 sticks of satay and a plate of rojak.

We decided to call it a day and went back to Pang's place where we going to spend 2 nights there.

The next day, we woke up at our own sweet pace. Had a good night sleep without Caleb roll-over me and with his ear-piercing-high-volume voice crying for milk-milk or shi-shi,shi-shi..... :)

As requested by yours truly, we had Marche for brunch at 313 @ Somerset. Oh, I'm so crazily in love with their pork knuckle. They are simply out of this world!! Craving again...and no, I'm not pregnant :)
Interior Deco...

The ticket

All those foods that we had.....

We had so much food in our tummy and we basically dont feel like moving after that.
Look at all those breads! Too bad, there's no more room for them anymore. Caleb go berserk if he see this!

We walked around Orchard and went into a few departmental store. It was the first day of Great Singapore Sales by the way. There were sales everywhere and so darn cheap too (if I'm earning SGD). Sigh....darn cheap but didnt buy anything because it's not worth it after converted into MYR. I'm gonna tell jk to get a job in S'pore and we'll migrate there. Good idea? :)

Soon it's time for dinner. We decided to go for Steamboat Buffet @ OG Orchard Point.
The Mushroom Pot

Mushroom Pot is Singapore's First Mushroom Hot Pot Restaurant featuring over 20 types of imported and wild mushrooms which emphasizes on their healthy goodness.
The condiments

Mushroom's goodness comes with SGD29.90++ per person for dinner buffet. Is like almost RM80 per person plus Goverment Tax and Service Charge. Which is why I said earlier, jk should look for a job in S'pore. @o@

Without wasting anymore time, ORDER ORDER ORDER!
Big tummy lady is hungry.....the least thing you want to do is to offend a hungry preggie lady. Opppssss...

Some of the side dishes that we ordered.
Wild Mushrooms with Thai Spices, Mushroom Rolls, Home style Chilled Tofu, Crisy Squid with Wasabi Sauce and Golden Fried Shitake Mushroom. I hope I got everything right.

Golden Fried Shitake Mushroom
I love this side dish the most. It taste like crispy chinese cruller to me thou. Coated with sweet tangy mayo to complete the whole dish. Yum yum...

Mushroom Rolls. Taste alright. That's it. :)

And the war begin.....
1st round.....more please....

2nd round.....more and more please....

3rd round......oh yea, more to feed all those hungry ghosts!

4th round....wah, nanti boleh jalan ke?

All with full stomach....

We took a group photo after that....inside CAR PARK. Because by the time we finished, the departmental store closed and we were asked to leave using back door which connected straight to car park. So no choice, car park pun car park laaaa.....

The next day, our destination is Universal Studio Singapore.

First thing first, a picture with USS Globe

Universal Studio Singapore Theme Park. Mmmm....until now I hvnt got myself clear the difference between Universal Studio and Disneyland. Well, they look the same to me....haha *pls dont knock on my head tyvm*

Well, we didnt buy tickets to go inside. Although I really want to....So sad, longing to go in but cannot go.

Why?
Because the ticket cost SGD72 per person!! Gawd!! *shiver shiver* So I just stand in front of barricade and watched Kungfu Panda's arse in awe....

To make myself feel better, I went into Hershey's shop. As they said chocolate will make you happy....

Or these lil' cutie Hershey Kisses to cheer me up....

Or a few bars of Reese's Peanute Butter...

Or maybe I just need a hug...

On second thought, money will make me very happy.... :)

We went to RW Casino just to look look and see see as it is free entrance for foreigner. Unlike S'porean, they need to fork out extra SGD100 to get in. Good strategy by the Government to discourage S'porean from indulge in gambling.

Anyway, we went in look around, left our pee-trace in the toilet and took one bottle of mineral each. Hahahaha.....where they said you'll have nothing when you enter a casino but for our case, we have something in return. 'A bottle of mineral water' - well, it still something right? :)

Strolled around the area again and we spotted a candy tree. CANDIES TREE!!!
Lollipopies!! Lollipopies!! I dont know who will go insane, me or Caleb?

Went in and prepared to whip out my camera and clicking away....
After I took the first picture of these cute lil' cupcake,

something banged into my face.
Yes, their candy is rather shy. Kanasai.... means no pictures lor.

At the end, I bought this T-shirt for Caleb @ SGD13 after discount.
Be kiasu a bit bought 3T instead of 2T. Hahaha...

We decided to have early dinner in Sentosa. ShuSan suggested Koufu hawker centre as we can choose variety type of food to eat while facing the sea. Not bad huh?

I ordered this Crispy Dumpling Noodle.

It was very good. Or maybe I'm starving as I just had one Char Siew Pau and a cup of coffee tapau-ed by Pang's hubby for brunch. Oh and we just voted him as the nice-est, courteous-est husband of all :) (he even peeled some apples for us after dinner leh - where to find! haha)

After dinner, we walked to hanging bridge at palawan beach - recommended by ShuSan. She was telling us how we should go and have a look at the most southern point of Continental Asia.

This is the entrance of my worst nightmare.

The bridge was swinging very badly. I tried to walk steadily to get to the end of the bridge as quick and possible but all those suckers behind me keep on shaking the bridge. It's not FUN at all! After crossing the bridge, I feel like throwing up. Geez...

Over looking Singapore Straits.

Soon, we need to bid bye-bye to each other as our flight back scheduled at 11pm. Reached home almost 1am. Jk still awake waiting for me and superbaby already slept (haha...of cox la, what time oh?)

It was a memorable trip and really hope that we could do it again in near future. Near future mean 4-5years from now ler as everybody (someone) is going to be very busy taking care of new born :)
