A slice of cake...

....that will send you straight to HEAVEN. :)

I came across JUST HEAVENLY's website not too long ago from blog-hopping and food recommendation's blog. All of them gave a very good comments and thumb's up, finger's up, face's up on their cake. (I just got to know that their cakes are so professionally done, even DYMM Raja Permaisuri ordered her birthday cake from them which studded with Swarovski Crystals and mosiac-ed!)

So when I spotted their stall at Pavilion yesterday I couldn't help but noticed their big sign board. JUST HEAVENLY...that's sound so familiar. Took a look at their cupcake display, oh my....so pretty, cute and pricey! One cupcake selling for RM6.90!

But curiosity got a better out of me. No harm trying right? Let's taste how does a RM6.90 tiny little cupcake taste like. Bought 2 of them back home. I was paranoid and keep on checking it inside the box every now and then, just in case my 2 cupcakes wrestling with each other. Lolss..

Vanilla Cupcake and Coffee Chocolate Cupcake. Still looks nice.

On the way to counter, jk saw a few loaf of butter cake, banana cake, chocolate cake. So, he asked about chocolate cake which was available but when he asked my opinion, I said I prefer marble cake instead.

Hehe...ok, so one loaf of Spice Marble Cake was added in the list. The bill come out to RM38.80! Why?
Because that loft of Marble Cake costs RM25!! @_@

We got shocked! But already paid, already got the balance, already took the cakes away, so nothing can be done anymore. Jk mumbled on the way, saying that we should have ask for the price before buying... hahaha Lesson learned.

So, how does it taste like? Well, chinese saying 'paying one cent, you got one cent of product'. Unlike others, it taste very buttery, smooth and infused with cinnamon flavor. NICE. REALLY NICE.

But on the second thought, RM25 for one loaf? Mmmmmm.....maybe if jk bug me one day, then I might take revenge on buying 3 loafs of it. Haha

Me-alone-chilling....

Was chilling out at Pacific Coffee the other day and since it was a public holiday, lou kong got his own happily snookering program and I also want to have my 'alone' time. Just alone.

Ordered a cup of hot Caramel Latte to accompany me...really nice, really relax, relax breathing...
Where is Caleb? At home playing hide and seek with Grandma..... LOLsss

Trying to blog there but the internet connection was really sucks! I couldnt upload a piece of photo and I was just wasting my time staring at my laptop for a good half and hour. Should have bring a book there to read instead. Well, there'll be another time....just that lou kong need to babysit Caleb by then.

Fried Prawn Fritters

Caleb got no more vege, no more meat and no more fish for his meal a few days ago because I'm so lazy to drag my fat-ass to the market (I know, jk must be cursing me now, torturing his son :D).

So, 2 days ago, I (finally) went to wet market and bought tonnes of vege, chicken and meat back. Bought 2 medium slices of big red snapper meat for Caleb's porridge and that cost me RM12 already. Okla, because red snapper have lesser bones and I don't have to pop out my eyes looking every nook and corner for it.

While waiting for the stall worker to debone my fish, I spotted some prawns. It looks fresh. I took one and took a sniff. No nasty smell. Good... :) With quick hand, I selected 10 of them and I sniffed them all. Hahaha...I really hate HATE hate smelly prawns. What I want to do with all those prawns?

In my mind, I'm thinking of prawn fritters. Yum Yum.. something like this.....

pic source from seasaltwithfood. Looks so yum yum right?

So I prepared all the ingredients after came back from market. I could see all the prawns dancing cha-cha-cha in front of me, yelling at me quickly peel me! fry me!... *rolls eyes*

Mil entertained Caleb, trying to block him from going into the kitchen every now and then.

My working station not big, so everything is clumped together. Can you see the Avent bottle? I used it to measure water needed. :)

Stir stir stir and final steps throw in some bean sprouts. One of the important and must-have ingredient, in my opinion. I like it as it will give you the crunchy texture when you bite into your fritters later. But before you throw in, you need to separate the head and tail first. Reason being: nicer and prettier ma, dont you think so?

See? From the cutting mat to the clean bean sprout on my hand.

To minimise the usage of oil, I pan-fried it instead of deep fry. I couldnt think of what to do with the remaining oil other than make another batch of prawn fritters or cook it with something else and I hardly cook at home. One of the reason of course is my super-kacau-baby named Caleb (really cannot do anything one) and secondly, I'm lazy to clean the whole kitchen afterwards. But since my mil is here, I might rajin one bit to try to cook as much as possible as she likes homecook food mainly porridge and vege.

Taa-daa...damn-delicious prawn fritters. Me and my mil whacked almost all of it. She even compliment my cooking...hahaha....guess his son wont starve to death since her dil is so good in cooking. But her son is very china-ah-pek and hyper-super-duper picky on his food. So......anyway, habis cerita.

Jk just went to the dentist to have his wisdon tooth pulled out. He can't eat it and keep on accused me for being unfair...hahaha. He just said it for fun la, or making me guilty. Because I dont think he will eat it even he didnt pull his tooth thou..

So, here is my version of prawn fritters. Anyone want a recipe? :) It really good wor....

Come, let's share share

We went for breakfast at one of those hawker stalls kopitiam this morning (the one without air-con - because we left Caleb at home with my mom in law). So, happily happily both of us sat down and ordered pork noodle each. Mmmm..yum yum, sorry, no photos because didn't bring my phone out with me. Half way while we digged in our pork noodle (by the way, it is very nice;)), I saw a family brought their pet dog with them into the shop.

At first I didn't think any wrong with it. Well, I love dogs and if I have a dog, I'd probably bring it out too....But I know there are a lot of makan places that don't allow customer to bring in their dogs due to hygiene reason.

Anyway, their table is just behind us. I was facing them where jk facing me.

Me: "Eh, got ppl bring dog leh".

Jk said: "Yea, I know. I saw them too just now".

Then we continue eat la...

We continued with our pork noodle (real nice, no bluffing). After awhile I looked up again and saw the owner place the glass of apple juice in front of the dog then the dog also lick lick lick from the glass. Wahh...geng wor!

Me: Eh eh....you know what? Just now the owner feed her dog apple juice leh. The dog lick lick lick from the glass. But I dont know whether the apple juice especially order for the dog or share share with the owner la...

Jk: Wahhh...so good ar? Be a dog also not bad hor...

*******

Suddenly, almost the end of their meal, the owner....with straw......drink the remaining of the same glass of apple juice....OMG OMG OMG.....Yuck yuck yuck...*pengsan*

Yes, I like dogs but not to this extend! Hell no I'm going to share a glass of whatever with them

Jk: Why last time you never share share carrot with Ah Bo?

Me: Because he eat SHIT la...

Both: Hahahahahahahah.....................

Things I love....

When I'm free, I like to mess around things....

What thing? Well, things around my house that I know I shouldn't play with....

But how I know that I shouldn't play with it, right?

Because I heard my mami yelled 'NOOOO..' everytime I played with it.

Sometimes I got 'piak' on my hands and thighs and butt.

But I did not and will not deter by that.

I will continue to explore things.

And I can expect more yelling and more spanking.

I dont care la, because I'M SUPER BABY MA...!!

 I play with cloth hanger...

Sometimes I bite into them. Taste good :)

 and scatter them around.

Why I got weird taste in my mouth ar?

Then I mess around with dadi's laptop. I heard my dadi shout 'NOOOO..' too.
Mmm...why everyone is shouting that? That's not even my name.. ^^

I mess around with mami's socks. I have socks too! A lil bigger than these...

I play with electrical socket. There goes shouting 'NOOOO.." followed by 'piak''piak''piak'.

Climbing up sofa and play with remotes. Hey, I can watch a movie!

And last, playing with dirty smelly clothes.

Super baby ma.....

"I go buy cheesecake, ok?"

Caleb's napping time begin to reduce from 3 time/day to only 1 time/day. Dont know what happen to him. Maybe his battery tank getting bigger thus can restore more energy inside. :)

If he napped in late afternoon for his first round, then you can expect his battery tank only will be beeping around 7-8pm later. Then all my schedule and his feeding schedule going haywire...

One day, we went for early dinner. By the time we've finished, it almost 8:30pm. On the way back home, Caleb begin 'fishing' in his car seat. Then finally he slept...in the car. But as he ate his dinner at 7pm and had tonnes of biscuits and finger foods during our dinner outside, I can't feed him milk yet. So, I let him sleep after cleaning him up and changing him into PJ. All these while, he still sleeping without opening his eyes once. Are you that tired, baby?

So, by 10pm, I went into kitchen and made a bottle of milk for Caleb. But he's sleeping right? Yea, so I decided to wake him up but fail because his eyes just wouldn't open. I shoved the milk into his mouth. Once he felt there was something near his mouth, automatically the mouth opened up...Hahaha...then he begin to suck suck suck..until finished. Yes, whole bottle of milk finished with eyes still closing.

All these while, jk was in the room with me. Suddenly, out of sudden.........

Jk: Eh, I go buy cheesecake now.

Me: Uhh? why? now? at 10 something? still got open meh?

Jk: I go buy now, so that at 4am, i wake you up to eat cheesecake, ok? Like what you did to Caleb just now. hahahaha

Me: &^%%$&*^&...kanasai
